This has been a great week. I have really felt the Spirit so much this week and I know that things are progressing. The Lord is blessing us for our righteous efforts in the gospel, and we are loving the work here. We are becoming members of the Fellowship of the Unashamed.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth
This week has been so awesome that I can’t really say much about it because I don’t have the time to say so in my letters on Mondays. However, I will tell you about our activity and how amazing it was.
We had an “amistura” this week, which is basically where everyone that can brings food and prepares enough for everyone to try it. (Note from Mom: he has apparently forgotten the word “potluck.”)
We prepared mini pizzas and everyone loved them. They were also so amazingly cheap to make in Peru, that we might make them again this week. Anyway, we had about ten investigators show up. They all made friends and they all loved the activity. The Spirit definitely blessed them and helped them come to the activity. Most all of these investigators came to church and loved the services. Elder Fitzgerald and I felt such a feeling of love and joy for each of them. It was amazing.
Well, that’s about it. Hope you all have a great week. I only have two more weeks in Jauja, so I’m going to make the most of it.
Love you all! I’m off to have an adventure!
With many llamas,
I’m a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of His and I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure. I’m done and finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, or first, or tops, or recognized, or praised, or rewarded. I live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by Holy Spirit power.
My face is set. My gait is fast. My goal is heaven. My road may be narrow, my way rough, my companions few, but my guide is reliable and my mission is clear.
I will not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice or hesitate in the presence of the adversary. I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ.
I am a disciple of Jesus. I must give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And when He does come for His own, He’ll have no problems recognizing me. My colors will be clear!”
